Elaboration of forecast-metallogenic map of the Republic of Sudan

Project objectives:

1. Entry and storage of the maps of different scales on the territory of the Republic of Sudan in a unified international system of geographical coordinates - WGS 84.
2. Review, visualization and printing any cartographic documents and its fragments downloaded in the project.
3. Updating of the project materials, addition of new cartographic documents and new information both to the geological databases and attribute tables.
4. Processing of attribute data in ArcMap applications for further metallogenic and forecasting zoning and other studies.
5. Compilation of various cartographic information by superimposition of different documents or individual vector layers to each other.
6. Selection and creation of thematic layer-maps from different cartographic documents.
7. Elaboration of new projects and specialized electronic maps.

Project implementation:

Regional gravimetric acquisition on a scale of 1: 500,000 at the area of 188 thousand square kilometers
Regional airborne magnetic acquisition on a scale of 1: 200,000 at the area of 174 thousand square kilometers
Detailed airborne magnetic acquisition on a scale of 1:25 000 - 1:50 000 at the area of 60.8 thousand square kilometers
Airborne photography acquisition on a scale of 1: 50000 in the Western part of the Red Sea mountains at the area of 37 thousand square kilometers
Detailed terrestrial geological and geophysical operations on different scales (1: 2000-1: 10000). Applicable integrated technique: magnetic and gravimetric surveys, electroprospecting at the total area of 124 square kilometers
Geologic surveys and explorations on a scale of 1: 125,000 at the area of 42.5 thousand square kilometers
Compilation of geological and structural-geological map of the Eastern part of the Red Sea mountains on a scale of 1: 500,000
Development of a pilot GIS project of 1,000,000 geological and metallogenic map of the Republic of Sudan in 2016-2018. and elaboration of a common geological database
Prospecting of gold ores at the licensed sites
