Permneftegeofizika (a subsidiary of the state-owned holding RosGeo) completed the 2D CPDM field seismic surveys in West Zaozernoye licensed area. The purpose of the project is the geological exploration of oil and gas Karabash zone, delineation of the spread of the Jurassic-Cretaceous oil and gas structures and weathering crust in Kondino district of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District (Yugra).
The surveys are conducted at the expense of the federal budget under the public contract signed between the Holding company and Department of Mineral Resources in the Urals Federal District.
Geographically, the works were performed in Tyumen region and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District - Yugra. The square of the surveyed area is 1903 km2. The depth of the operations is 6 km.
The specialists had the tasks: to map the wedging areas in the sediments of the Jurassic-Cretaceous structures, to compile the structural maps on the main reflecting horizons of the Meso-Kainozoic sedimentary cover in the scale of 1:50 000, to elaborate the paleostructural models, to identify the traps promising in terms of search for hydrocarbon deposits, to assess the discovered resources by category Dl.
In total, in the framework of the project the company performs 1900 km of 2D seismic surveys, in 2018 - 1000 km, in 2019 - 900 km.
Currently, the desktop processing of the results is in progress. The customer will be provided with the final report by the end of the year. The result will be the recommendations for performance of the further geological exploration.
