Central Geophysical Expedition (CGE, a subsidiary of RosGeo) conducts the processing of survey data obtained during the 2D CDPM field seismic exploration on the western slopes of the Nepa-Botuoba anticline and adjacent areas in eastern Siberia.

The completed seismic works are of interest in the performance out along the channel of the Vitim River (the tributary of Lena), where the line of seismic waves registration is located on the shore, and the points of excitation and reception on the ship in the river water area. This specificity makes higher requirements for the method of field operation, selection of conditions for excitation and receiving the waves, and also to a specialist-supervisor, who has to deal simultaneously with seismic features on land, at sea (river) and transient (transit) zones.

The express-processing of the data resulted in performance of monitoring and assessment of the field information quality, obtaining of the preliminary seismic cross-sections. The conditioned initial field data was transferred to the specialists of the CGE for subsequent desktop analysis.

During the desktop analysis the experts intend to receive the summing-up and migrated timing and depth cross-sections along the axis of thr Vtim River, which, in combination with the seismic data received on land, will allow to identify the large hydrocarbon fields in Riphean-Vend-Low-Cambrian terrigenic-carbonate sedimentations.

Central Geophysical Expedition is a service company with over 50 years of practical experience in the field of processing and interpretation of seismic and geophysical materials, elaboration of geological deposit models. CGE works in accordance with international standards, provides the high-quality execution of a complete set of geological-geophysical and commercial surveys. CGE was established by the Ministry of Oil Industry of the USSR in 1967 as a research and production center for management of the process on translation of geophysics data into the digital recording and processing.
