RosGeo will analyze the drilled samples from the arctic islands and assess its oil potential

RosGeo is a Russian multi-disciplinary geological holding that carries out a full range of services related to geological exploration: from regional surveys to parametric drilling and monitoring of subsoil conditions. The holding company boasts a unique expertise, particularly in marine geology and shelf operations.

RosGeo was established following the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of July 15, 2011, No. 957 on the basis of Tsentrgeologiya, an oldest Russian geological enterprise. Rosgeo is a fully state-owned company.

The enterprises within the Holding company operate in all eight Federal Districts of Russia. A total of more than 1000 fields and deposits have been discovered by the holding’s companies, including major hydrocarbon and solid mineral deposits and fields.

Kama Research Institute for Integrated Studies of Deep and Ultra-deep Wells (KamNIIKIGS, Perm) is an oldest research geological exploration institution of the oil and gas industry in Volga-Ural region.

The Institute is a basis for accredited Center for Study of Rocks and Fluids, which performs a wide range of laboratory-analytical research activities. There is an automated core sample storage facility at the institute site. KamNIIKIGG has a high scientific and technical potential demanded in performance of geological exploration, research, topical and experimental-methodical activities in conduct of survey and exploration activities and rendering the services to the mining companies, as well as in the sphere of activity of the Federal Agency for Subsurface Management (Rosnedra).
