RosGeo and Moscow institute of geological exploration develop the scientific cooperation with Azerbaijan
Today, at the site of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum RosGeo, Russian State Geological Prospecting University n.a. Sergo Ordzhonikidze (MGRI) and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) signed a tripartite cooperation agreement. The document will allow to establish the basis for improvement of interfaces between the scientific circles of Russia and Azerbaijan, and active collaboration in the field of geology.

Today, at the site of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum RosGeo, Russian State Geological Prospecting University n.a. Sergo Ordzhonikidze (MGRI) and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS) signed a tripartite cooperation agreement. The document will allow to establish the basis for improvement of interfaces between the scientific circles of Russia and Azerbaijan, and active collaboration in the field of geology.
The agreement was signed by Sergey Gorkov, Director General - Chairman of the Board of RosGeo, Ibrahim Guliyev, Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Vadim Kosyanov, Rector of MGRI.
The parties intend to develop cooperation in the field of science, education, training of highly qualified personnel for the industry, elaboration and introduction of innovative technologies for prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits. The agreement envisages the establishment of the opportunities for foundation of a joint venture for implementation of projects in the field of geological exploration of subsurface resources, field forecasting, development of innovative digital technologies.
“I am confident that international cooperation in the scientific sphere will give new incentives for resolving the personnel issues in the industry and development of national geological exploration," S. Gorkov noted. - Therefore, we are pleased that the scientific community in Russia and the CIS is uniting under the aegis of the Holding company."
“Combining of research and educational potential of our countries will doubtlessly be an important step towards the establishment of an advanced infrastructure for research and development of innovative activities in exploration and management of natural resources in Russia and Azerbaijan", - said, in turn, Vadim Kosyanov, Rector MGRI.
