Davos, Switzerland, January 22, 2020. Yesterday, within the World Economic Forum, Rosgeo and Astana International Financial Center (AIFC) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on the development of AIFC-based digital platform to attract alternative funding sources for geological exploration.
"The Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the few countries in the world, where there are AIFC-based regulatory provisions adapted to the active work in the field of cryptoeconomics," — Sergey Gorkov, Director General of Rosgeo. "We are pleased to work together with AIFC on the development of digital platform for early financing of junior companies. It will be an innovative instrument for attracting private investments in the geological exploration.”
"The AIFC legal structure serves to regulate the use of new financial instruments, including the investment raising and assets tokenization instruments based on the blockchain technology. The cooperation with Rosgeo is a prominent example of the use of financial and technical decisions by major non-financial institutions,” — Kairat Kelimbetov, AIFC Managing Director.
The digital platform will be implemented using the state-of-the-art blockchain technology with asset tokens and digital tools of liquidity support and cryptographic protection.
