D. Kobykin introduced Sergey Gorkov, the new Director General, to the team of RosGeo. The Head of the Ministry of Natural Recourses stresses out that S.Gorkov is a professional manager, and prior to the appointment he held the position of the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

S.Gorkov emphasized that the geology has been and remains the most important sector fundamental for the entire production of gas, oil, metals and other mineral resources in our country: “Our objective is to develop the new Strategy of RosGeo development. We are to elaborate a completely new image of the company relying on the professional, science and modern technologies", - he said.

Sergey Gorkov was born on December 1, 1968 in town of Gai, Orenburg region In 1986-1987 he was studying in Moscow Mining Institute From 1987 to 1995 he passes his military service. In 1994 Mr. Gorkov graduated from the Academy of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on the specialty Jurisprudence, in 2002 - Russian Economic Academy named after G.V. Plekhanov, specialty: Economics He fluently speaks English.

In 1994-1997 he held the senior positions in MENATEP Bank From 1997 to 2005 Mr. Gorkov works at managerial posts at JSC Oil Company Yukos, LLC Yukos, CJSC Yukos Refining and Marketing, including position of Vice-President of LLC Yukos-Moscow In 1999 he works at a senior position in Schlumberger. 2007-2008: Member of the Board of Directors of FESCO Transportation Group 2008-2016: Head of Department, Deputy Chairman of the Board of PJSC Sberbank 2016-2018: Chairman of Vnesheconombank 2018-2019: Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.

Sergey Gorkov repeatedly passed training and continuous training courses: Dresdner Bank (Germany), Schlumberger (UK, France), International Institute for Management Development (Switzerland), Stanford University (USA). He is awarded with Medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the II degree (2010 г.), Diploma of the Government of the Russian Federation.
